§ 2.08.030. ELECTION AND TERM OF MAYOR.

  • (A) No person shall hold the elective office of Mayor or be eligible to seek election thereto unless at the time of declaration of candidacy, the person is a qualified voter of the City who has resided within the City for a period of no less than twelve (12) consecutive months immediately prior to the time of submission of declaration of candidacy.
    (B) The Mayor is elected at large for a term of three (3) years and until a successor is elected and has qualified.
    (C) The regular term of the Mayor begins on the first Monday following certification of their election to office.
